Iggy Pop turns 65 today
An American singer, songwriter and actor. Though considered an innovator of punk rock, his music has encompassed a number of styles over the years, including pop, metal, jazz and blues. Pop became known as 'Iggy' in high school, when he served as drummer for local blues band The Iguanas.

The Red Baron died 94 years ago today
Manfred von Richthofen, widely known as the Red Baron, was a German fighter pilot with the Imperial German Army Air Service during World War I. He is considered the ace-of-aces of that war, being officially credited with 80 air combat victories, more than any other pilot.
