An English-American actress known for her role as Joan Holloway in the AMC cable television series Mad Men, and as Saffron in Fox's short-lived series Firefly. A poll of female readers taken by Esquire magazine named Hendricks "the sexiest woman in the world."

Wally Schirra died 5 years ago today
An American test pilot, United States Navy officer, and one of the original Mercury 7 astronauts chosen for the Project Mercury, America's effort to put humans in space. He is the only person to fly in all of America's first three space programs (Mercury, Gemini and Apollo).
