Born On This Day:
John Cho turns 40 today
A Korean-American actor and musician, best known for his roles and as Harold Lee in the Harold & Kumar films and as the character who coins the term "MILF" in the American Pie films. He also appeared in the critically acclaimed hit films Better Luck Tomorrow and American Beauty. Recently Cho's fame has increased with his portrayal of the iconic Star Trek character Hikaru Sulu in the 2009 film Star Trek.

In Memoriam:
Wernher von Braun died 35 years ago
A German-born rocket scientist, aerospace engineer, space architect, and one of the leading figures in the development of rocket technology in Nazi Germany during World War II and, subsequently, the United States. In his 20s and early 30s, von Braun was the central figure in Germany's rocket development program, responsible for the design and realization of the V-2 combat rocket during World War II.
